The Hamilton County Genealogical Society (HCGS) offers its award-winning quarterly journal, The Tracer, as a benefit to members. The Tracer provides information related to researching in and preserving the records of Hamilton County. Each issue provides a list of upcoming events, the status of digitization projects, and more. The January 2008 to October 2025 issues of the discontinued HCGS quarterly newsletter, The Gazette, are available online to the public. Information formerly published in The Gazette is now distributed through email blasts and other means.

Indexes and Guide

HCGS has published research guides and many indexes of records from the early 1800s to 2019. A Guide to Genealogical Resources in Cincinnati and Hamilton County, Ohio (9th edition) has a Table of Contents available online; the book can be purchased in the HCGS Shop & Support store. PayPal, credit card, and mail-in payments are accepted.
