Membership is open to anyone interested in genealogy and the purposes of the Society. Members are encouraged to submit Ancestor File Cards to the Research Committee for a possible match with another member and are notified when found to be researching same surnames. Only members may submit surname cards to the surname file maintained at the Main Branch Library. Membership includes 4 issues of The Tracer and 4 issues of The Gazette, with free publication of queries and surnames in The Tracer.

Dues are payable November 1st for each coming year. Regular and Sustaining Memberships include one or two persons at the same address. Sustaining Membership provides additional operating funds for the Chapter. Life Memberships include one person or a married couple at the same address.

Life Members are continued on the roll of the Chapter as memorials after their death. Life Memberships are held in an endowment fund, from which the interest is used to further the work of the Chapter. These Life Memberships, active or memorial, help the Chapter preserve genealogical records and resources for generations to come.

New members joining during the year will receive all issues of The Tracer & The Gazette for that year.
