Early Land Ownership Records in Spencer Twp. FR 1 T5 Section 29 and 23

I'm planning a trip to CHLA early 2015 to search the microfilmed Hamilton County Deed Records for Spencer Twp. FR 1 T 5 Sections 29 and 23 for land ownership records for John SEAMAN and Abner APPLEGATE for the period between 1790 and 1835.  Is there an index available at CHLA that might narrow my search?

Histories:
Abner APPLEGATE, appears in the Columbia Twp. tax list for 1808.  From The Applegate Family in America by Hugh Voress [Derwood, Md.][1977], "Abner Applegate, born Mar. 22, 1777; died in Hamilton Co., Ohio on Oct. 8, 1824.  He was apprenticed to a shoemaker at the age of 8 and went to Cincinnati sometime before 1800, settling at Columbia, Hamilton County, Ohio, 1/2 mile below the mouth of the Little Miami River.  On May 13, 1802 with the Reverend Peter Smith, Baptist Clergyman, officiating, he married Rebecca Seaman." (daughter of John Seaman)

John SEAMAN appears in the History of Hamilton County, Ohio by Ford, Henry A. and Ford, Kate B. as a Trustee for Columbia Twp. in 1802 and 1803.  The Portrait and Biographical Album of McLean Co., IL, Chicago, Chapman Bros., 1887, concerning Rees Gaddis (John Seaman’s grandson) states:  “After the death of her husband, Mrs. Gaddis and her two children went to live with her father in Hamilton County, Ohio, whose home was on the banks of the Ohio River.  This kindly old gentleman, John Seaman by name, was a native of Virginia, and is supposed to have been of Welsh decent.  He removed from his native State to Ohio as early as 1800, settling in Hamilton County, and was among its earliest pioneers and lived there the remainder of his days.”  John Seaman died before 10 Mar 1817.

Probate:
Abstract of Book 1 & Book A, probate record 1791-1826, Hamilton County, Ohio:
15 Sep 1821 - Book A page 71, Admrs of Benj. Stites decd. ordered to convey land to heirs of John Seaman decd.

Map:
Spencer Township 1869 - The map below shows the mouth of the Little Miami where it enters the Ohio River.  Approximately ½ mile below the mouth of the Little Miami, is a 10 acre parcel of land (primarily in Section 29) marked “A. Seaman”.  I believe this property was once owned by John SEAMAN.

I ended up logging into familysearch.org and selecting Search and Catalog and under "Places" entered "United States, Ohio, Hamilton".  And under "Land and Property", I ordered the microfilm containing the index for 1787-1836 (344511) and had it delivered to my local LDS branch.  From review of the Index, I ordered another 11 reels and was able to find the deed for the purchase and sale of my ancestor's (John Seaman's) property (sold to Alpheus Seaman).  Also found the deed for the adjoining property that answered many of my questions concerning the property conveyed to John Seaman from Benjamin Stites.  I was disappointed to find that several of the documents were completely illegible (handwriting too light) likely because the original document was so faded that it could not be microfilmed.  (Would it be possible to visit the Hamilton County Recorder's office and view the original with a magnifying glass?)  I also found at least one document that was too dark to be legible.  This might be the same issue.
