Settlers and Builders

Settlers and Builders of Hamilton County, Ohio is the lineage society that is open to descendants who were born in or resided in Hamilton County between January 1, 1821 and December 31, 1860.

Settlers and Builders was established in 2004 to honor the second wave of early immigrants to the City of Cincinnati and surrounding townships in Hamilton County.

There is an all-name index for the Settlers and Builders applications approved by the lineage committee. Search this index for any family names and it will show you the file number for the application containing that name.

The Cincinnati History Library and Archives (CHLA) has all of the approved applications on file and the finding aid lists the names within each application. Contact CHLA to see the original application. If you need the help of a local researcher see Research Services.
